Invigilating a classroom test

Press fullscreen and the section name and time remaining fill the screen, which makes it easy to read from the back of the room on a TV or projector. At 10 and 5 minutes left the numbers change color and an alert sounds, so you don't have to announce the time yourself.

Full-length practice tests

Choose a preset such as the Digital SAT or IELTS and the breaks between sections are built in. Practicing with real timing, including the short gaps between modules, gets you used to the pace before test day.

Your own schedule

For school midterms, finals or certification exams, edit the section names, durations and breaks in the table. Your edits are saved as a custom schedule for next time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pause the exam timer?
Yes. Press Pause to stop, and when you resume, the rest of the schedule shifts later by the paused time. Handy for practice sessions.
When do the alerts sound?
At the start of each section, 10 and 5 minutes before the end (you can turn these off in Settings), and when a section ends. The countdown turns orange at 10 minutes and red at 5 minutes.
What happens if I enter a start time that has already passed?
The timer jumps to whichever section should be running now. If the whole schedule would already be over, it's moved to the same time tomorrow.
Is it accurate if I switch to another tab?
Yes. Everything is calculated from the real clock, so the remaining time is correct when you come back.
Can I build a schedule for my school exam?
Add or delete sections and change names and times in the table to match any exam. Changes are saved automatically in your browser.
