Why time your study by subject?
Hours at a desk aren't the same as hours of focused study. Timing only the minutes you actually work, subject by subject, shows how much you really studied today and where your time goes. Most people find one subject quietly getting far less time than they thought.
How to use it
- Tap a subject card to start timing it.
- Tap a different card to switch. The previous subject stops automatically.
- Use the big button (or the space bar) to pause for breaks; press it again to resume the last subject.
- Add subjects with the box below the cards and remove them with Γ.
If you refresh or close the tab while it's running, it keeps counting. If it was left running for more than 6 hours, you'll be asked whether to keep that time.
Tips
- Pause for every break. Logged time is only useful if it's honest.
- Use the weekly chart to spot your weakest day and raise that target first.
- Pair it with the Pomodoro timer on days when focus is hard: work in 25-minute blocks and log the time here.
Frequently asked questions
Does it keep running if I refresh or close the tab?
Yes. The start time is saved, so the elapsed time is added when you come back. After more than 6 hours you'll be asked whether to keep it.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server, it isn't shared across devices, and clearing site data erases it.
What happens if I study past midnight?
The session is split at midnight, so time is credited to the correct day.
If I remove a subject, is its time deleted?
No. It disappears from the list but its logged time stays in your daily total and weekly chart.
